The Philippines marks National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) this March 2025 with the sub theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” reinforcing gender equality and empowerment under the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710).

ILECO III, in line with the celebration of the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration, successfully conducted a Community Engagement and Gift Giving Activity to the female persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at Barotac Viejo District Jail, Brgy. Vista Alegre, Barotac Viejo Iloilo on March 28, 2025 (Friday) in coordination with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Under the leadership of the Institutional Services Department Manager, Ms. Christine Joy G. Hermano, along with staff from Human Resources, a brief gift-giving event was organized for the fourteen (14) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the specified district jail. Throughout this event, the PDLs had the opportunity to participate in various games arranged for their enjoyment and listened to the message delivered by Rev. Alan Clyde B. Galan, who served as the guest speaker.

This event aims to ensure that no woman is left behind in the journey towards a better future filled with equal opportunities empowerment.
