LOOK: ILECO III SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED THE GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY OF THE PHP 388 MILLION SUBMARINE INTERCONNECTION PROJECT LAST MARCH 7, 2025 IN SICOGON ISLAND, CARLES
ILECO III is thrilled to announce the commencement of the PhP 388 Million Submarine Interconnection Project, set to electrify the islands of Manlot, Calagna-an, and Sicogon in the Municipality of Carles. This massive undertaking, connecting nine barangays (Manlot, Talingting, Bito-on, Punta Batuanan, Barangcalan, Tinigban, Alipata, Buaya, and San Fernando), will lead to the transformation of the lives of our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) by boosting livelihoods, improving living conditions, and enhancing educational opportunities.
This project is funded by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) through the very able and strong leadership of NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano “Nani” C. Almeda and Department of Energy (DOE) under the visionary leadership of Sec. Raphael “Popo” Lotilla through the 2024 LFP-TEP Subsidy and NEA’s 2011-2022 savings from Subsidy.
The Submarine Interconnection Project is a collaborative effort of government agencies and ILECO III which was made possible by the support of our House Speaker Hon. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, 5th District Representative Hon. Raul “Boboy” C. Tupas and 5th Disctrict Board Member Binky April M. Tupas who were all present during the Ground Breaking Ceremony.
Other personalities and officials who joined and witnessed this momentous event were the CEO of Ayala Corporation Mr. Fernando Miranda Zobel de Ayala, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ayala Land Logistics Holdings Corp. Mr. Robert S. Lao, Lone District of Iloilo City Representative Hon. Julienne “Jam-Jam” Baronda, Municipal Mayor of Carles Hon. Siegfredo Betita, together with the Municipal Mayors, Vice Mayors, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Punong Barangays and project recipients.
ILECO III also acknowledged the following benefactors for their generous contribution to the project: Ms. Roselyn D. Trogo, Ms. Lovelyn Francisco Demapanag, Ms. Clarita D. Fuentes, Ms. Helen F.
