On August 27, 2024, the NEA – EC proudly held a significant Tree Planting Activity in Brgy. Del Castillo, Sara, in partnership with the Del Castillo Community Association (DECCA) and CENRO – Sara. Under the leadership of Atty. James G. Balsomo II, along with the Board of Directors, Management, and Staff, the event aimed to promote environmental sustainability and enhance the local ecosystem through reforestation efforts. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering a greener and healthier community for future generations.
The activity was made possible with the invaluable support of various partners in the Rural Electrification movement. Notable contributors included Barangay Electrician Association, under the guidance of Joel C. Dato-on, BAPA Federation, led by Dante Desamero, NIGSECO headed by Ms. Jean Campion, Silak Employees Credit Cooperative (SECCO), as well as the dedicated Brgy. Officials spearheaded by Hon. Henry Balume, Sr. Together, these groups united their efforts to ensure the success of the tree planting initiative, showcasing the power of collaboration in addressing environmental challenges.
Through the collective engagement of community members and partners, this event not only showcased the importance of tree planting but also strengthened community bonds and awareness around environmental stewardship. By planting trees, we are not just enhancing the beauty of nature but also contributing to the well-being of our planet. This initiative is a step towards a more sustainable future, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting environmental responsibility within the community.
