As part of the cooperative’s aim to enhance the empowerment program for Member-Consumer-Owners, ILECO III effectively held its 32nd Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) on April 27, 2023 (Saturday) at three (3) separate locations:

Sara Area Coverage – ILECO III Gymnasium, Brgy. Preciosa, Sara

Pani-an Area Covergae – Balasan Civic Center, Poblacion Sur, Balasan

Nativiad Area Coverage – Barotac Viejo Municipal Gymnasium, Poblacion, Barotac Viejo

The event was graced by Hon. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, Tingog Partylist Representative and our Keynote Speaker, Hon. Raul “Boboy” C. Tupas, 5th District of Iloilo Representative, Hon. Binky April M. Tupas, Board Member, 5th District of Iloilo, Tingog Partylist delegates, Municipal Officers of the covered Municipalities of ILECO III, all Board of Directors of ILECO III, MCO EC Wide Officers, MCO Chairmen, BAPA Fed Officers, BAPA Chairmen, former employees, and ILECO III Workforce led by Atty. James G. Balsomo II.

A warm and heartfelt message from Admin. Antonio Mariano C. Almeda, Administrator, National Electrification Administration, Hon. Sergio C. Dago-oc, APEC Partylist Representative, Atty. Janeene Depay-Colingan, Executive Director and General Manager of PHILRECA, Hon. Arthur “Toto” Defensor, Governor, Iloilo Province.

Oath taking of our newly appointed Director of District VII (Barotac Viejo and San Rafael) Dir. Harry G. Tupas and District II (Sara and Lemery) Dir. Antonio P. Lazarraga, administered by Hon. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, Tingog Partylist Representative. Our newly appointed BAPA Chairman pledged their Oath of Office by Atty. James G. Balsomo II, ILECO III General Manager.

A plaque of recognition and token of appreciation were presented to the outgoing Board of Directors, Dir. Melly L. De Asis, Dir. Jowella S. Juarez, and Dir. Villa B. Gumban in grateful acknowledgment and commendation of their excellent performance as Board of Directors and their valuable contribution to the cooperative in providing efficient and reliable electric service to Member-Consumer-Owners in the pursuit of total rural electrification.

The business meeting was presided over by Dir. Vincent H. Belita, the BOD President. The determination of quorum, reading of notices and proofs of publication, and reading and approval of previous AGMA minutes were discussed during the meeting.

Afterwards, the Treasurer’s Report, Board President, and General Manager’s Report were presented by Atty. James G. Balsomo II to all MCOs.

Following the Business Meeting, raffle draws were held for all MCOs who participated in person and virtually. Also, ILECO III thru the efforts of BM Binky distributed 6,500 packs of rice to all MCOs who attended the event in person.
