On July 06, 2023, Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AKELCO) conducted a benchmarking activity at Iloilo III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ILECO III) on its Meter Reading, Billing and Collection System and other best practices.
The benchmarking team of AKELCO headed by Ms. Mega M. Arcenio, Finance Services Department Manager, and Mr. Jose Francisco Ramos II, Commercial Operations Department Manager, together with their Corplan, IT, and Area Managers were warmly welcomed by the Management Committee of ILECO III. The latter’s best practices on Meter Reading, Billing and Collection System were discussed and presented to AKELCO team such as the strategies to attain high percentage of collection efficiency and meter reading and billing activities that contribute to the reduction of system loss.
The benchmarking activity was a valuable opportunity for both of the Cooperatives to learn from one another and to improve their respective practices.
It also strengthened the relationship between the sister Cooperatives and fostered collaboration in promoting growth and development of the EC operations.
