The satellite dish was officially handed over to our General Manager, Atty. James G. Balsomo II, on June 6, 2024, during the Symbolic Energization of Tagubanhan Island. This is the Fourth (4th) unit of the Starlink Satellite Kit donated by Cong. Raul “Boboy” C. Tupas and BM Binky April M. Tupas to the Member-Consumer-Owners of ILECO III. This generous contribution is intended to bolster our service delivery, particularly in facilitating real-time consumer payments within our Island Services. To materialize this objective, we are embarking on an innovative SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) initiative that will establish a secure connection between our Island Services and the Main Office server via the internet.
However, as we aim to integrate this cutting-edge technology, we are faced with a challenge of acquiring the necessary infrastructure, notably access to dependable and high-speed internet connectivity. The Starlink Satellite Internet Service emerges as an optimal solution that could catalyze the realization of this project, ultimately benefiting not only our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) through streamlined and instantaneous payment processing but also empowering ILECO III by connecting various IT systems into a unified network.
