“Babae Ako, Kaya Ko!” invites participants to submit short stories that tell the inspiring stories of women they know in their community. These stories can highlight the women’s achievements, their positive impact on others, and their contributions to the community’s development.
CONTEST DETAILS
• Eligibility: All Member-Consumer-Owners of ILECO III are eligible to participate.
• Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025 (Friday)
o Impact: The extent of the woman’s positive impact on the community.
o Inspiration: The story’s ability to inspire and motivate others.
o Creativity: The originality and engaging storytelling style.
o Accuracy: The factual accuracy and authenticity of the story.
o Supporting Documentation: The inclusion of supporting documentation (e.g., news articles, photos, and testimonials) will be considered a plus.
• Prizes: Five (5) Winners will each receive a prize of 1,000 Pesos.
• Submission Guidelines:
o Entries must be non-fiction (personal essays, reflective pieces, or informative articles) that tell the story of a woman in your community.
o Stories should describe how a woman has positively impacted the lives of the writer or their community.
o Essays should have a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 250 words.
o Each participants shall submit ONE entry only.
o Submission of your entry must be submitted to the official Facebook Page of ILOILO III ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. via Comment on the Official Announcement of the Contest on or before March 21, 2025 (Friday).
Recognition and Citations:
o Winning stories will be published on the official Facebook Page of ILOILO III ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC.
o The winning story and its subject will be featured in a special short video presentation during ILECO III’s Women’s Month celebration on March 28, 2025.
We believe that this “Babae Ako, Kaya Ko!” Story Contest will be a meaningful and impactful initiative that will inspire and uplift the community and empower women.
