ILECO III succesfully hosted an insightful round table discussion on Government Procurement Guidelines on August 2, 2024, featuring the expertise of Dr. Joey S. Dela Cruz, PhD, Administrator of NISU Campus – Concepcion. Joined by members of ILECO III’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), this event aimed to enhance their understanding and broaden their vision regarding the procurement activities of our cooperative.
Government Procurement Guidelines offer several important benefits that contribute to the efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of public spending such as Transparency, Accountability, Fair Competition, Cost Efficiency, Quality Assurance, Inclusivity, Risk Mitigation, Sustainability, Capacity Building and Public Trust. In summary, Government Procurement Guidelines are essential for creating a framework that promotes ethical practices, efficiency, and responsiveness to the community’s needs, contributing to better outcomes for society as a whole.
This gathering not only deepened our understanding of procurement processes but also highlighted its vital role in our future projects. By empowering our members with these guidelines, we are fostering accountability and paving the way for sustainable development. Together, we are committed to making responsible and informed decisions that benefit our Member-Consumer-Owners.
